Zuri means "beautiful" or "bright" in Swahili.

Zuri Timmons aims to channel the beautiful brightness that is captured through the lens of the imaginitive world of children in her art. With an emphasis on magical lighting, jewel tones, and visual storytelling, her work calls back to a realm of daydreams and whimsical, fun stories.

Zuri currently works as a high school art teacher and loves sharing the wonderous world of art with teenagers. She also works as an illustrator/artist specializing in children's illustration.
